Bio

Mike Carter is a life long resident of Parker County. He graduated from Springtown High School in the early 1970’s before attending the University of Texas at Arlington. He felt a calling to serve others at an early age, and became a licensed minister. After UTA Mike began a 36 year career in Commercial Construction, always wanting to return to a life of service. While undergoing some personal counseling he was encouraged to return to college and become a counselor. He was accepted into the Human Service Provider/Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor program at Weatherford College and graduated from there in May 2014. After graduation he began working at Cambio Life Recovery Center in Bridgeport Texas, a co-ed 30 day substance abuse treatment facility. Mike came to work at Stonegate Center in December 2014 as an LCDC-I.
