Kensie Lyon was born in Nebraska, and moved to Oklahoma in 2010 after graduating with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Substance abuse from Wayne State College. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 9 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. Kensie has been successful in guiding those who have been affected by addiction, to a place of sustained recovery. She finds herself promoting good vibes and saving lives. Her true passion is helping those in their darkest moments, find hope and happiness. Kensie believes that when people find purpose and hope, they find happiness and self-worth. She enjoys working out and spending time with her family in her free time. Kensie is the founder of a registered 501c3 nonprofit called AMP Resources, that is devoted to connecting professional resources for substance abuse and mental health with those who struggle and their families and currently serves as the Executive Director of the non-profit in Oklahoma. Kensie works to improve the lives of Oklahomans that suffer with addiction and co-occurring disorders and support to professionals via education and networking.
