(Azle, Texas – March 1, 2018) Stonegate Center has announced the launch of the Equine Therapy program. The program which will be available to all clients will be led by Equine Therapist, Nonie Casselman. Mrs. Casselman is certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and is a member of The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).

We believe that this addition to our program will greatly strengthen our efforts to help the men, and soon women, deal with the trauma that has debilitated them, for too long. Our hope is that these horses become a conduit for healing and hope.”

Equine Therapy is used to develop needed skills and attributes, such as accountability, responsibility, self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and self-control. Equine therapy also provides a therapeutic setting in which the therapist and client can identify and address a range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
